Sending volume: Klaviyo caps you at 10 sends per contact per month, Mailchimp Standard at 12, and both stop or upsell you above it. Ours is unlimited.

Up to about 10,000 subscribers the sticker prices are close, and between 3,001 and 5,000 Klaviyo and Mailchimp are cheaper than our Professional plan. No feature tiers, no send credits, no overage charges. Plans start at €39 a month for up to 3,000 active subscribers.
Your plan is set by audience size bands, not a per-contact meter - and only active, emailable subscribers count. Unsubscribed, bounced and suppressed contacts are free, so cleaning your list lowers your bill instead of being an accounting chore.
No. Unsubscribed, bounced, complained and otherwise suppressed contacts stay in your account as suppression records but never count toward your plan limit. Klaviyo bills every non-suppressed profile and Mailchimp counts unsubscribed contacts until you archive them; here the number on your invoice is the number of people you can actually email.
Active, emailable contacts. Unsubscribed, bounced and suppressed addresses don't count against your limit - we're not charging you for people you can't email.
We tell you before it matters, and you upgrade in one click. We never silently block sends or auto-charge overage - your campaign schedule is not a hostage.
Platform sends are unlimited: no send cap, no send credits, no overage from us. Send a daily email to your whole list if your strategy calls for it. The honest footnote is that delivery runs through your own Amazon SES account, so AWS bills the volume at its list rate, currently $0.10 to $0.16 per 1,000 emails depending on the SES plan you pick. 100,000 emails a month is $10 to $16, and you own your sender reputation.
